Licensed Technician


The Opportunity

We have an immediate need for a Licensed Technician to join our busy & growing Service department. Enjoy working in a newer facility, with an air conditioned shop, onsite car wash, and service drive-thru!

The Technician will join our existing team to deliver a superior experience to all of our service customers. The incumbent will be required to work Mon-Fri 8am-5pm, one late night during the week (until 8pm), and every third Saturday (8am-3pm). This role reports directly to our Fixed Operations Manager.


Responsibilities

Obtain daily repair orders from the Service Advisor
Perform a variety of vehicle maintenance & repair jobs, as indicated on the work order with accuracy and efficiency in accordance with dealership and manufacturer standards
Inspect and diagnose the source of any malfunction and perform repair
Save and tag parts requested by customer or under warranty
Examine the vehicle to determine the need for additional safety or service work, notifying the Service Advisor if further work is recommended
Document work performed
Road test vehicles
Attend Ford sponsored training sessions

Strong problem solving ability to accurately diagnose problems

Proven ability to be a strong team player
Willingness to learn & acquire new technical knowledge (ie: attending manufacturer’s training courses)


Qualifications & Experience

Previous Ford experience is desired, but not mandatory
Valid Ontario Driver’s License with a clean abstract
Licensed technician – 310S license

Part Time Shuttle Driver


We have an immediate need for a part-time, Shuttle Driver to join our busy Service & Parts Department. The incumbent is responsible for delivering customers to their desired location, picking up customers and returning them to the dealership, occasional parts delivery or pick up, and other duties as required by the department.

The successful incumbent must be available to work a variety of shifts, Monday – Friday, 7:45am-12:30pm, 11am- 3pm, or 12:30pm-5:30pm.

Qualifications

Accounts Receivable/Payable Clerk - Fixed Term Contract


Reports to: Controller
Hours of work are: Monday – Friday, 8:30am-5pm with an hour, unpaid, meal break.
Length of Contract: Estimated duration is 14 months (August 2018 – October 2019).

Responsibilities

Daily balancing of the Service and Parts department float, including the resolution of discrepancies
Balance the Point of Sale (POS) on a daily basis
Ongoing releasing and posting of journal entries
Follow up on warranty payment discrepancies with warranty administrator
Process accounts receivables including:
o Prepare weekly aging report
o Receive cheques, match with invoice & statement
o Liaise with customers regarding arrears receivables and notify Controller, when appropriate
o Initiate credit & reference checks for customer accounts
Accounts payables function, including:
o Preparing cheques, updating records, obtain necessary signatures
o Communicate with vendors regarding overpayment, invoice errors, etc.
Preparation of daily bank deposit
Distribution of incoming mail and prepare daily outgoing mail
Ad-hoc support provided to the Controller & General Manager, on an as needed basis

Experience and Education

    • Prior experience in an AR/AP role is preferred
    • High school diploma, required and College diploma is preferred

Sound accounting background with an appreciation for debit/credit entries
Highly organized and able to multi-task
Detail oriented
Able to meet deadlines
Respectful of confidential, sensitive information
Excellent written & verbal communication skills
Proficient with Microsoft Office, especially Excel

Detailer

The Opportunity

We have an immediate need for a full-time, permanent Detailer to join our busy Sales Department. Hours of work are Monday-Friday 9am-6pm, with the potential for additional hours during peak times. Responsibilities include, but are not exclusive to:

Hand wash, wax & buff exterior of new & used vehicles
· Clean interior with vacuum, shampoo, and cleaning products
· Engine shampoo
· Apply touch-up paint to chipped body surfaces
· Follow delivery schedule, communicate with the Business Office to confirm the delivery schedule is being followed correctly
· Vehicle check-in from transport, on an as-needed basis


Experience & Skills

· Clay bar experience
· High-speed polishing & touch up paint experience is desired, but not essential
· Attention to detail, takes pride in the quality of their work
· Strong time management skills
· Flexible to changing schedules and deadlines
· Ability to follow directions


Qualifications

· Ability to drive manual transmission vehicles
