CURRENT OPPORTUNITIES:

Parts Assistant


This role will support the day-to-day running of the Parts department, working directly with technicians, retail customers and internal customers (ie: sales dept). The Parts Assistant reports to the Parts Manager. The role requires one evening per week and every third Saturday.

Responsibilities

Parts counter assistance & parts window assistance
Picking parts, putting away parts (ie: lifting, sorting) and delivering parts
Daily/weekly movement of PEARS identified warranty parts/CORES and disposal of garbage/obsolete parts
Assistance in the reorganization of the department for greater efficiency (ie: day to day housekeeping but also overall inventory organization)
Support the inventory of customer seasonal tires (ie: responsible for storage and cataloguing the tire stock)
Special order parts support
Assist in inventory control (ie: monthly bin counts, converting bin locations to updated organizational system, annual parts inventory)
Support parts orders (ie: fast moving parts, fluids, consumables. Etc)
Shipping & receiving
Opening and closing responsibilities
General ad hoc support to Parts & Service department as directed by Fixed Operations Manager

Skills and Attributes

Positive & professional attitude, courteous to both internal & external customers
Responsive to all inquiries in a timely manner
Ability to multi-task and manage competing customer inquiries, calls, emails, etc.
Strong organizational skills and a keen attention to detail
Proven track record of learning new software & computer applications quickly
Excellent communication skills – written, verbal (in-person and over the phone)
Ability to follow directions and work autonomously
Ability to lift 50lbs (ie: incumbent will be moving a variety of parts throughout the day – rims, tires etc)

Experience

Previous experience working in a dealership environment is preferred

Qualifications

Valid Ontario Driver’s License
Clean driver’s abstract

Lot Attendant

The Opportunity

We have an immediate need for a full-time Lot Attendant to join our growing business. The role reports to the dealership’s General Sales Manager but also works closely with the Sales Manager, Receptionist, and General Manager. The hours are Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm.

Responsibilities

Maintenance of the dealership’s lot, including but not exclusive to:
o ensure that vehicles on the lot are neat and orderly
rearranging the lot as per the direction of the General Manager and/or Sales Manager
o use onsite car wash to clean vehicles
o removing snow from vehicles
o salting & shoveling the front entrance for customers during the winter months and other seasonal outdoor maintenance
o Verify receipt of new vehicles delivered to dealership; sign and date bill of lading, and forward to reception
o Examine vehicles to detect damage and confirm presence of loose items on invoice (i.e., spare tire, manual, floor mats, antennae, keys, etc.)
o Record damage descriptions and note missing items on delivery report to facilitate claim from manufacturer
o Apply etching stickers to windows, doors, hood, and frame
o Provide daily lunch hour Receptionist support
o Ad hoc responsibilities as directed by the Sales Management team

Accounts Receivable/Payable Clerk


The Opportunity

We have an immediate need for an experienced Accounts Receivable/Payable Clerk. The role reports directly to the Controller. Hours of work are: Monday – Friday, 9am-5pm.

Responsibilities

  • Daily balancing of the Service and Parts department float, including the resolution of discrepancies
  • Balance the Point of Sale (POS) on a daily basis
  • Ongoing releasing and posting of journal entries
  • Follow up on warranty payment discrepancies with warranty administrator
  • Process accounts receivables including:
    • Prepare weekly aging report
    • Receive cheques, match with invoice & statement
    • Liaise with customers regarding arrears receivables and notify Controller, when appropriate
    • Initiate credit & reference checks for customer accounts
  • Accounts payables function, including:
    • Preparing cheques, updating records, obtain necessary signatures
    • Communicate with vendors regarding overpayment, invoice errors, etc.
  • Preparation of daily bank deposit
  • Distribution of incoming mail and prepare daily outgoing mail
  • Ad-hoc support provided to the Controller & General Manager, on an as needed basis

Experience and Education

  • Prior experience in an AR/AP role is preferred
  • Previous experience in a dealership environment is desired, but not mandatory
  • Completion of college level Business Administration program, specializing in Accounting
