Pre-Owned Vehicle Manager


The Opportunity

Fines Ford Lincoln has an immediate need for a Pre-Owned Vehicle Manager. The successful incumbent has a passion for managing the pre-owned vehicle department and a track record of achieving results. The role reports directly to the General Sales Manager. The incumbent would be required to work every other Saturday and 2 evenings per week.

Responsibilities

The role is responsible for the profitability of the Pre-Owned Vehicle department. Accordingly, the responsibilities are:

    • Acquiring and maintaining the right mix of inventory
    • Managing the reconditioning of vehicles
    • Ensure vehicles are properly valued at all times, making timely adjustments when necessary
    • Monitoring inventory turn-over
    • Manage online presence for vehicle pricing, specs, etc
    • Plan, manage & refresh the display of vehicles
    • Equip the Sales Consultants with updated information on the pre-owned inventory
    • Work with the Marketing Manager and General Sales Manager to create and implement promotional strategies
    • The incumbent will be expected to support Sales Consultants with new vehicle deals, knowledge of incentives, pricing, options, etc is required

Experience

    • Experience in appraising, retailing, wholesaling, acquiring and maintaining pre-owned inventory.
    • Previous Ford & Lincoln brand experience is an asset, but not required
    • Comfortable using DealerSocket
    • Prior experience with CPO program

Junior Service Advisor

The Opportunity

We have an immediate need for a full-time Junior Service Advisor to join our busy Service Department. Hour of work would be Monday to Friday, 8am-5pm, with some evening hours and Saturday hours, depending on the business’ needs and customer demand. The role will report to the Customer Experience Manager, and will work closely with the team of Service Advisors.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not exclusive to:

    • Assisting with incoming phone calls and assisting with outgoing phone calls to satisfy customer needs
    • Answering phone to book appointments, reschedule appointments, etc…
    • Calling customers to book recall appointments
    • Calling customers when their special order parts arrive, to book their appointment
    • Returning voicemails from customers
    • Following up with no-show appointments to reschedule appointment
    • Sending email and text reminders to customers regarding their appointment
    • Cashing out customers at the end of their appointment
    • Retrieve customers from the lounge to inform them that their vehicle is ready
    • Provide administrative support for warranty submissions
    • Provide counter relief during lunch hours, vacations etc to the Service Advisors
    • Provide additional administrative support as directed by the Customer Experience Manager


Experience

    • Previous experience working in a shop is essential, prior knowledge of appointment booking in the automotive industry
    • Previous experience in customer service

    • Professional and courteous over the phone and in-person
    • Strong computer skills – able to learn new programs quickly and work efficiently
    • Attention to detail, takes pride in the quality of their work
    • Strong time management skills and ability to multi-task
    • Ability to follow directions and complete assigned tasks

Parts Assistant

This role will support the day-to-day running of the Parts department, working directly with the Parts Manager to ensure the department is run in an efficient & organized manner. The Parts Assistant reports to the Parts Manager. Incumbent must be available to work one evening per week and every third Saturday.


Responsibilities

    • Opening & closing routines
    • Parts counter assistance & parts window assistance
    • Picking parts, putting away parts (ie: lifting, sorting) and delivering parts
    • Daily/weekly movement of PEARS identified warranty parts/CORES and disposal of garbage/obsolete parts
    • Assistance in the reorganization of the department for greater efficiency (ie: day to day housekeeping but also overall inventory organization)
    • Support the inventory of customer seasonal tires (ie: responsible for storage and cataloguing the tire stock)
    • Special order parts support
    • Assist in inventory control (ie: monthly bin counts, converting bin locations to updated organizational system, annual parts inventory)
    • Support parts orders (ie: fast moving parts, fluids, consumables. Etc)
    • Shipping & receiving
    • General ad hoc support to Parts department as directed

Skills and Attributes

    • Positive & professional attitude, courteous to both internal & external customers
    • Responsive to customer inquiries in a timely manner
    • Ability to multi-task and manage competing customer inquiries, calls, emails, etc.
    • Strong organizational skills and a keen attention to detail
    • Proven track record of learning new software & computer applications quickly
    • Excellent communication skills – written, verbal (in-person and over the phone)
    • Ability to follow directions and work autonomously
    • Ability to lift 50lbs (ie: incumbent will be moving a variety of parts throughout the day – rims, tires etc)

Experience

    • Previous experience working in a dealership environment is preferred

Qualifications

· Valid Ontario Driver’s License

· Clean driver’s abstract
