Sales & Leasing Consultant

Pre-Owned Vehicle Manager


The Opportunity

Fines Ford Lincoln has an immediate need for a Pre-Owned Vehicle Manager. The successful incumbent has a passion for managing the pre-owned vehicle department and a track record of achieving results. The role reports directly to the General Sales Manager. The incumbent would be required to work every other Saturday and 2 evenings per week.

Responsibilities

The role is responsible for the profitability of the Pre-Owned Vehicle department. Accordingly, the responsibilities are:

    • Acquiring and maintaining the right mix of inventory
    • Managing the reconditioning of vehicles
    • Ensure vehicles are properly valued at all times, making timely adjustments when necessary
    • Monitoring inventory turn-over
    • Manage online presence for vehicle pricing, specs, etc
    • Plan, manage & refresh the display of vehicles
    • Equip the Sales Consultants with updated information on the pre-owned inventory
    • Work with the Marketing Manager and General Sales Manager to create and implement promotional strategies
    • The incumbent will be expected to support Sales Consultants with new vehicle deals, knowledge of incentives, pricing, options, etc is required

Experience

    • Experience in appraising, retailing, wholesaling, acquiring and maintaining pre-owned inventory.
    • Previous Ford & Lincoln brand experience is an asset, but not required
    • Comfortable using DealerSocket
    • Prior experience with CPO program

Detailer

The Opportunity

We have an immediate need for a full-time, permanent Detailer to join our busy Sales Department. Hours of work are Monday-Friday 9am-6pm, with the potential for additional hours during peak times. Responsibilities include, but are not exclusive to:

Hand wash, wax & buff exterior of new & used vehicles
· Clean interior with vacuum, shampoo, and cleaning products
· Engine shampoo
· Apply touch-up paint to chipped body surfaces
· Follow delivery schedule, communicate with the Business Office to confirm the delivery schedule is being followed correctly
· Vehicle check-in from transport, on an as-needed basis


Experience & Skills

· Clay bar experience
· High-speed polishing & touch up paint experience is desired, but not essential
· Attention to detail, takes pride in the quality of their work
· Strong time management skills
· Flexible to changing schedules and deadlines
· Ability to follow directions


Qualifications

· Valid Ontario Driver’s License with clean abstract
· Ability to drive manual transmission vehicles

Parts Assistant

This role will support the day-to-day running of the Parts department, working directly with the Parts Manager to ensure the department is run in an efficient & organized manner. The Parts Assistant reports to the Parts Manager. Incumbent must be available to work one evening per week and every third Saturday.


Responsibilities

  • Opening & closing routines
  • Parts counter assistance & parts window assistance
  • Picking parts, putting away parts (ie: lifting, sorting) and delivering parts
  • Daily/weekly movement of PEARS identified warranty parts/CORES and disposal of garbage/obsolete parts
  • Assistance in the reorganization of the department for greater efficiency (ie: day to day housekeeping but also overall inventory organization)
  • Support the inventory of customer seasonal tires (ie: responsible for storage and cataloguing the tire stock)
  • Special order parts support
  • Assist in inventory control (ie: monthly bin counts, converting bin locations to updated organizational system, annual parts inventory)
  • Support parts orders (ie: fast moving parts, fluids, consumables. Etc)
  • Shipping & receiving
  • General ad hoc support to Parts department as directed

Skills and Attributes

  • Positive & professional attitude, courteous to both internal & external customers
  • Responsive to customer inquiries in a timely manner
  • Ability to multi-task and manage competing customer inquiries, calls, emails, etc.
  • Strong organizational skills and a keen attention to detail
  • Proven track record of learning new software & computer applications quickly
  • Excellent communication skills – written, verbal (in-person and over the phone)
  • Ability to follow directions and work autonomously
  • Ability to lift 50lbs (ie: incumbent will be moving a variety of parts throughout the day – rims, tires etc)

Experience

  • Previous experience working in a dealership environment is preferred

Qualifications

· Valid Ontario Driver’s License

· Clean driver’s abstract
