We have an immediate need for a Licensed Technician to join our busy Service department. Enjoy having your own bay, working in an air-conditioned shop with an efficient electronic dispatch system, onsite car wash, and service drive-thru! The technician will join our existing team to deliver a superior experience to all of our service customers. This role reports directly to our Shop Manager. the incumbent must be able to work alternating Saturdays (8am-3pm) and some evenings. The role reports to our Shop Manager.

  • Receive daily repair orders from Shop Manager
  • Perform a variety of vehicle maintenance & repair jobs, as indicated on the work order with accuracy and efficiency in accordance with dealership and manufacturer standards
  • Inspect and diagnose the source of any malfunction and perform repairs
  • Save and tag parts requested by customer or under warranty
  • Examine the vehicle to determine the need for additional safety or service work, notifying the Service Advisor if further work is recommended
  • Document work performed
  • Road test vehicles
  • Attend Ford sponsored training sessions

Service Manager

Fines Ford Lincoln has an immediate need for a full-time Service Manager to lead our Service department.   This role reports directly to the General Manager and is responsible for the efficient running of the shop and Service counter. The Service Manager position is highly valued position and works closely with the Sales and Parts department managers, who share a common goal of maintaining and improving efficient operations and delivering a positive customer experience. 

4 Main Areas of Responsibility: 


1.    Supervise, direct and lead all aspects of the Service Department (counter and shop).
2.    Maintain a high profitability in all areas by setting pricing and monitoring all departmental expenses.
3.    Monitor and uphold all manufacturer warranty programs for high profit and claim accuracy. 
4.    Develop and maintain processes & routines that foster a high level of customer satisfaction as measured by the Net Promotor Score (NPS) rating. 

  • With the General Manager, develop departmental objectives and manage the Service department to a high level of achievement.  
  • Monitor & track key metrics for the departments, highlighting trends and using this information to make informed decisions about pricing, marketing, inventory levels, etc. 
  • Prepare and manage the annual operating budgets of the Service department. 
  • Develop and launch a marketing plan to solicit new customers and retain existing customers. 
  • Manage team of Service Advisors and Technicians, providing coaching and feedback to foster improved performance.  
  • Manage, review & approve the following programs: GCCT, Prior Approvals, After Warranty Adjustments, Ford Pass Rewards, Customer Transportation support (ie: rentals, loaners, shuttle, unit down, Lincoln pick up & delivery) 
  • Oversee all aspects of warranty policy, understand and implement guidelines with regard to warranties, see that claims are appropriately processed and ensure Advisors are accurately informing customers of warranty  
  • Maintain high quality repair service experience and reduce returns to the shop; check work performed with the focus on "fixed right the first time" metric 
  • Addressing customer complaints and inquiries in a courteous, professional manner
  • Review recommendations for shop equipment/tool investment 
  • Prepare lists of labor costs for the more routine maintenance jobs 
  • Maintain proper and legal practices in receipting, costing, and selling 
  • Keep abreast of federal and provincial regulations and municipal bylaws governing maintenance work, such as those concerning the removal of hazardous waste, etc.; understands and observes them
  • Maintaining the cleanliness of the shop

  • At least 5 years of management experience with a high-volume department  
  • Excellent customer service skills 
  • Strong people management skills; demonstrating an ability to delegate, hold the team to account and deliver on results. 
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Organizational ability and attention to detail 
  • Experience with PBS is an asset
  • 310S designation is desirable but not mandatory 
  • Full Class G license and clean driving record
