2022 Ford Transit
The Ford Transit is the most popular commercial and transport truck in its category. This success is easy to understand when you compare it to its rivals and understand that you can, literally, customize your van for all your needs.
In addition to various roof heights and wheelbases, the Transit is available in cargo, crew and passenger versions. Its large size and the different interior layout possibilities make the Ford Transit the truck that can become your partner in all your operations.
An engine for everyone
The Ford Transit has not one but two powertrains to choose from. The base version is equipped with a naturally-aspirated 3.5-litre V6 that develops 275-horsepower and 262 lb-ft of torque. The more demanding will prefer the turbocharged 3.5-liter V6 EcoBoost with 310-horsepower and 410 lb-ft of torque. However, in both cases, a 10-speed automatic transmission sends power to the wheels.
You can choose to drive the rear-wheel-drive version or the all-wheel-drive version, which offers more control and safety.
But the Transit is also a real work tool. Depending on the layout, it can offer space for up to 15 passengers, making it a truly efficient and well-appointed transportation vehicle.
If you prefer the cargo version, the Transit can offer up to 5,110 pounds of load capacity and up to 6,865 pounds of towing capacity. It even has optional power sliding doors to facilitate access to the vehicle, giving access to a low floor for easy movement. Three lengths, three roof heights and two wheelbase lengths are also available.
For 2022, an electric version, called e-Transit, will be available with a range of some 203 kilometres. However, its payload capacity is limited to a maximum of 3,800 pounds for the low- roof models.
A comfortable cabin
Whether it's one version or the other, the Ford Transit distinguishes itself by several elements that are unique to it. Its quiet ride and maneuverability, recognized by all, have set it apart from the competition.
Even its interior is full of comfort and convenience features. A four-way adjustable driver's seat and a manually adjustable tilt and telescopic steering column are there to help you get comfortable behind the wheel. Three different center consoles, including the ability to house the transmission lever on the right, are among the choices available. SYNC 4 is also now available.
The standard equipment list includes amenities such as Bluetooth connectivity, two USB ports and air conditioning. In addition, all Ford Transit vans are equipped with driver assistance features such as lane keep assist and lane departure warning.
To make driving even easier, the Transit also has parking assistance and reversing sonar that allows it to fit easily into tight spaces.
With variable configuration to suit your needs, standard safety features like Co-Pilot 360 and two powerful gasoline engines or a convenient electric version, the Ford Transit is the business partner you need.
